Appearing as Jumper in The Falling and The Rising – Nathan Oakes

Nathan Oakes, tenor, has performed in several productions in the Chicago area including Don Ottavio (“Otto”)/Don Giovanni (Petite Opera Productions, Floating Opera Co, and American Chamber Opera) and Tamino/The Magic Flute (Petite Opera Productions and American Chamber Opera). He appears regularly with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and in 2020, joins the Lyric Opera of Chicago as a supplemental Chorister.
“I’m excited to be performing in The Falling and The Rising because this is a story that anyone can approach and appreciate, whether they have military connections or not. I have family members past and present who served, and whose stories are their own. By portraying this character, I hope to honor those who served, and those for whom deployment was a one way trip.”
