Petite Opera Productions 2020 season postponed

2020 scheduled season postponed due to COVID pandemic

Petite Opera Productions 2020 season postponed
Petite Opera Productions postpones its 2020 season, featuring the spoof “Das Barbecü”, until 2021

As a member of the arts community, we are closely monitoring the developing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and following stay-in-place guidelines. And, our Board of Directors has made a difficult, but responsible decision:

We have officially postponed our 2020 season productions.

The safety of our patrons, artists and staff are our primary concerns. We are exploring safe, fun ways to reconnect with our current and prospective patrons—both virtually and later, in-person throughout the year once restrictions are lifted. We all want to stay uplifted, connected and engaged during the pandemic.  Look for more opportunities to connect with us coming soon! If you want to join in the fun, please sign up on our page to stay connected with us via our email newsletter.

In these times, we all need a reason to smile, so in Spring 2021 we plan to bring you Das Barbecü, our originally slated 2020 production. This outrageously funny show spoofs Texas life by telling Wagner’s Ring Cycle plot using Country Western music, and does so at lightning speed—in less than 2.5 hours.

To celebrate the human spirit, we are also planning some safe events that tie the barbecue theme to our community. So, once restrictions are lifted, and social events are once again safe, look forward to joining us for a little fun in the sun.

Thank you for letting us touch and change your lives, albeit virtually, at least for a while. Stay safe, and spread hope!
